Kim Young-kap
Kim Young-gap is a photographer of Korea. Born in Chungcheongnam-do, he graduated from Hanyang Technical High School in Seoul. In 1985, he entered the island in a peaceful landscape of Jeju. He entered the island in 1985 and left numerous photographs based on natural scenery such as clouds, mountains, sea, trees and herring in Jeju Island even in poverty and solitude. During 6 years of suffering from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, he continued his work on Jeju Island and "devoted his soul and passion". On May 29, 2005, he was killed and handed over to two young artists of Kim Young-gap Gallery, Seongsan-eup, Seogwipo City, Jeju Special Self-Governing Province. The ashes were scattered under the persimmon trees in the gallery front yard and did not leave wills.
