army's Day
The day of the Armed Forces commemorates the founding of the ROK Armed Forces, annually announcing on October 1 to celebrate the use of the Armed Forces in the world and raise the morale of the soldiers. It was enacted in 1956, combining the previous Army Day, Air Force Day, and Navy Day. In 1950, during the Korean War, the Third Division of the Army took the lead in the eastern front, setting the 38th line to be the day of the Armed Forces, the first day of October. On that day, various events such as rallies and demonstration battles are held in front of the people.
