Korea National Intelligence Service
The National Intelligence Service is the central administrative agency and presidential agency of the Republic of Korea, which handles information, security and criminal investigation related to national security. On January 22, 1999, the National Security Planning Department was reorganized and launched, located in Naegok-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul. The chief engineer is referred to as a ministerial-level official. Information on the organization, location and number of employees of the National Intelligence Service may not be disclosed. The size of the budget is also treated as private. However, the budget is disclosed through the National Assembly Information Committee, and the location is disclosed to the unit through the media.
