Gurka
Gurka is a mercenary from Nepal. Historically, the words "Gurka" or "Gorkali" were used to refer to Nepalese and are derived from the names of the Gorka provinces and hill towns of the Nepalese kingdom. According to legend, the name Gurcara is derived from Goraknat, which is a medieval Hindu warrior and an adult and has an old sanctuary in Gorka. Traditionally, the Gurcans were soldiers of various hill tribes in Nepal and are not from a single group or region. Gurka, which is seen in Himachal, is mostly from Nepal, but there is also a record of non-Nepalese gurka such as Taigurka, Nagargurka and Chinese Gurka. The Nepalese Army, the British Army, and the Indian Army have a Gurka army unit recruited from Nepal. They meet the requirements of Article 47 of Protocol I of the Additional Protocol to Geneva, but are exempt from the provisions of paragraphs 47, a, c, d, e, and f,
