Light clearance
Light customs clearance is one of the oldest bank stores in Korea and is located in Namdaemun-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul. This building was called light clearance in the past because it had light bridges. Since its construction in 1909, it has been used as a banking store and its original functions have remained unchanged in modern architecture. It was designated as monument No. 19. It was reconstructed in 1915 when it was destroyed by fire in February 1914, but decoration, openings, and dome were more deformed than the original one. The light customs clearance is 234 pyeong brick double storey building with the combination of Chunil Bank and Suhil Bank on the first floor and the room for light customs clearance on the second floor. I used a mixture of bricks and stone. The front was decorated with columns of granite Ionic order, granite attached to pedestals in the upper central part and stone railing on the eaves. Baroque-style twin domes on both wings give the brilliance and finesse, in contrast to the brick and stone.
