Keimyung University
Keimyung University is a private university and college affiliated to Presbyterian affiliation in Daegu, Korea. It is divided into three campuses, Daemyung Campus in Daemyeong-dong Nam-gu, Dongsan Campus in Dongsan-dong, Jung-gu, and Bible Campus in Shindang-dong, Dalseo-gu. Dongsan Medical Center, located in Dongsan-dong, Jung-gu, is expected to complete a new hospital on the Bible campus in 2014. In 1954, it was promoted as a university of Keimyung Christianity, in 1956 in Keimyung Christian University and in 1965 in Keimyung University. In 1978, it was promoted to a university. The opening day of the school is May 20th. The university headquarters was in Daemyeong-dong, Nam-gu, from 1996 to 1996, but since then, it has moved to Shindang-dong, Dalseo-gu and has reached today. The main spire of the main building of Daemyeong-dong, which was once a symbol of Daemyeong-dong campus, was demolished in 2011. Daegu Digital Culture Promotion Agency is located in Daemyeong-dong campus. In 2012, the Daegu branch of the German Cultural Center in Korea was established.
