Korea Internet Promotion Agency (KISA) is a commissioned executive quasi-government agency under the Ministry of Creation Science that promotes Internet promotion, Internet information protection and international cooperation in the Republic of Korea. The foundation law of the Korea Internet Promotion Agency is Article 52 of the Authentic Network Act. In July 2009, the Korea Information Security Agency, Korea Internet \u0026 Security Agency, and Korea IT Industry Promotion Agency (KIPO), which are three organizations under the Korea Communications Commission, were launched in line with the government's policy to advance public institutions. In November 2010, the second president Seo Jong-ryeol was inaugurated, and as of March 2011, it has been organized into two rooms, two headquarters, one center, and eight departments and 43 teams. It is located in Garak-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul. It is adjacent to Subway Line 3 Police Hospital Station and Subway Line 8 Garak Market Station. "Daedong Government Complex" near Garak Market Station, "118 Government Complex" near the Police Hospital Station, and "Internet Corruption Response Center" at "118 Government Complex".

한국인터넷진흥원은 대한민국의 인터넷 진흥, 인터넷 정보보호 및 그에 대한 국제적 협력을 진행하는 미래창조과학부 산하 위탁집행형 준정부기관이다. 한국인터넷진흥원의 설립 근거 법률은 정통망법 제52조이다. 2009년 7월 정부의 공공기관 선진화 정책에 따라 방송통신위원회 산하 3개 기관인 한국정보보호진흥원, 한국인터넷진흥원, 정보통신국제협력진흥원이 통합되어 출범하였다. 2010년 11월 제2대 서종렬 원장이 취임하였으며, 2011년 3월 기준으로 2실 2본부 1센터 8단 43팀으로 조직되어 있다. 서울특별시 송파구 가락동에 위치해 있으며, 지하철 3호선 경찰병원역,지하철 8호선 가락시장역과 인접해 있다. 가락시장역과 근접한 곳은 "대동 청사", 경찰병원역과 근접한 곳은 "118 청사" 라고 불리며, "118 청사"에는 인터넷침해대응센터가 자리잡고 있다.
