Korea Hydro Nuclear Power
Korea Hydro \u0026 Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. is a power generation company of Korea Electric Power Corporation established on April 2, 2001. It was separated and established from KEPCO pursuant to the Act on the Promotion of Restructuring of the Power Industry. Starting commercial operation of Kori Nuclear Power Plant No. 1 in 1978, it currently operates 23 commercial nuclear reactors in four nuclear power plants including Kori Nuclear Power Plant, Hanbit Nuclear Power Plant, Wolsong Nuclear Power Plant, and Hanul Nuclear Power Plant. Currently, Unit 4, Shinwolung Unit 2, and Shinhan Wolong Unit 3 ~ 4 are under construction, and construction permits of Shinhori Ganggory 5 ~ 6 are in the process of being approved. It also operates hydroelectric power plants such as Cheongpyong Dam and Paldang Dam. It is responsible for about 32% of Korea's electricity supply, and is constructing nuclear power plants and exporting nuclear power plants.
