zodiac
The zodiac is a circle of intervals of 30 ° of astronomical hardness centered on the ecliptic, the apparent path of the sun across the celestial sphere, both astrology and historical astronomy. When measured at the latitude of the celestial sphere, the path of the moon and visible planets is also kept close to the ecliptic within the band of the zodiac, ranging from 8 to 9 ° to the south or north of the ecliptic. Historically, these twelve sections are called constellations. Basically, the zodiac is the celestial coordinate system, or more clearly, the ecliptic coordinate system, with the ecliptic as the origin of the ecliptic and the position of the sun at the vernal equinox as the origin of the ecliptic.
