Environmental Design
Environmental design means design that has a direct relation to the formation of our living environment such as architectural design, city planning, and regional planning. It has arisen from the consciousness of the problem of how to organize the individual architectures as corresponding to the structure of human behavior and the architectural groups that are realized and the transportation routes that connect them. In this sense, it is safe to say that the way of seizing environmental design centered on architecture has already been prepared in the process of development of modern architecture, and that it is especially important today as an inevitable result. From another angle, however, the way of perceiving environmental design has attracted attention in two aspects: art and design, in particular, the emergence of what are now called environmental arts, and on the other hand, the heightened awareness of public design.
