It is a perennial plant of Chrysanthemum rhizomes. It is distributed in Korea, Japan and China. Stem stands straight and is about 50 ~ 100cm high. When it is broken, white liquid comes out. Leaves are long elliptical or ovate long oval with 4-5 spines, with stems and leaves with hairs. At the end of the stem from July to October, several purplish-colored flowers run back. Corolla is a bell-shaped, 13 to 22 mm long. The style is divided into three, a little longer than corolla, 5 stamens, falling from the flower basin, and the operating table has a broad base and hairs. Capsules are shaped like a cup when they are ripe with calyx at the end. The soft leaves and roots are eaten with herbs, and the flowers are beautiful and they are planted for ornamental purposes. In one room, the roots are dried and used as a tonic, antipyretic, and expectorant.
