Qualitative analysis
In analytical chemistry, qualitative analysis is a method used to determine the elemental composition of inorganic compounds. Since this method can mainly analyze the ions contained in the aqueous solution, the substances present in other states must be made into an aqueous solution for qualitative analysis. Next, several reagents are added to the solution to chemically react with the ions in the solution. As a result, the change in color, the formation of sediment, and other changes can tell which ions are contained in the aqueous solution.
