Chonnam National University Museum
Chonnam National University Museum is Chonnam National University Museum located in Yongbong-dong Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City. It is located in Chonnam National University and is located at the rear gate of Chonnam National University. It is also located in Jeonnam University Yongbong Cultural Center. It was established to collect, preserve, and display research data on local culture as well as domestic and foreign historical, archeological, art history, folklore, anthropology, and natural history fields and to provide research and educational materials to faculty, students, and local residents. In addition to exhibitions, it also plays a pivotal role in promoting local culture through various activities such as collection, preservation, research, publication, and international exchange of artifacts. In particular, the local cultural heritage has been explored and surveyed, and it has played an important role in reestablishing local history. It also conducts social education through cultural classes and cultural heritage exploration with students and citizens.
