FIFA World Cup Trophy
The FIFA Cup is the golden trophy given to the FIFA World Cup winners. Since the World Cup in 1930, two trophies have been the mark of the championship. One is the Juilliam Cup from 1930 to 1970 and the other is the FIFA Cup from 1974 to the present day. Originally named Victory, the Jules Rimes Cup was named after his former name, Julie Rime, former FIFA president. This trophy was made of gold and plated silver and lapis lazuli, and depicted Nike, the goddess of victory in Greek mythology. In 1970, Brazil won three times to win this trophy, and it was urged to create a trophy to replace it. This trophy was stolen in 1983 and was never found. The substitute trophy, the FIFA Cup, first appeared in 1974. Based on malachite, this trophy, made of 18 carat gold, symbolizes two people holding the earth.
