K is one of the potassium-potassium (K) -sodium (Na) ion exchange resins. When hyperkalemia (K) occurs due to renal failure, it is used either by oral administration or by administration of insulin (injected intestines). The K and Na are exchanged in the digestive tract, and the resin attached to K is discharged to remove K in the body. The dosage is 15 to 30 g per day, and sorbitol is used in combination to delay in vitro excretion. 케이엑살레이트 칼륨(K)-나트륨(Na) 이온 교환 수지의 하나이다. 신부전으로 고칼륨(K) 혈증이 나타났을 때에 경구적투여 또는 주장투여(注腸投與)에 의해 사용한다. 소화관내에서 K와 Na의 교환을 하고 K가 묻은 수지가 배출됨으로써 체내의 K를 제거한다. 투여량은 1일 15~30g이고 체외배설을 지체없이 하기 위해 소르비톨을 병용한다.
