Kelmet It is an alloy of copper and lead used as a bearing. It is used as a lining material of plain bearings because it has good thermal conductivity and excellent abrasion resistance as a mechanical property. It is usually lined with a thickness of about 1 mm on a mild steel steel plate. Since the specific gravity of lead and copper is different, there is a drawback that it segregates when poured over the bill. For this reason, tin and cadmium are added to the Kermit alloy to prevent segregation. And is widely used as bearings for aircraft, automobiles, and diesel engines. 켈밋
베어링으로 사용되는 구리와 납의 합금으로 열전도성(熱傳導性)이 좋고, 기계적 성질로서의 내마모성(耐摩耗性)도 우수하기 때문에 플레인 베어링의 라이닝재(材)로 사용된다. 보통 연강(軟鋼)의 대금(臺金) 위에 두께 1mm 정도로 라이닝하는데, 납과 구리의 비중이 다르기 때문에 대금 위에 주입할 때 편석(偏析)하는 결점이 있다. 이 때문에 켈밋합금에 주석과 카드뮴을 첨가해서 편석을 방지한다. 항공기 ·자동차 ·디젤기관 등의 베어링으로 널리 이용되고 있다.
