The ridit analysis method is an abbreviation of the relative to an identified distribution character, proposed by Bross (1958). This method is to give a statistical numerical value to qualitative variables such as degree of injury and statistical interpretation of the numerical value as a parameter of the interval scale. The basic assumption is that in reality it is impossible to measure, but there are some successive distributions, even qualitative variables, and each catheter is only a representation of the interval. This method is applied to research on automobile accidents, cancer, schizophrenia and the like. 리디트분석법 리디트는 relative to an identified distribution 문자의 생략형으로 Bross(1958)에 의해서 제창된 것이다. 이 방법은 상해의 정도 등과 같이 질적인 변량에 통계적으로 수치를 주고 그 수치를 간격척도의 변수로 보고 통계적 해석을 하는 것이다. 기본적인 가정은 현실적으로는 측정불가능하지만 질적변량이라도 어느 연속적인 분포가 존재하고 있으며 각 카테고라는 그 간격을 나타내는데 지나지 않는다는 점이다. 이 방법은 자동차사고, 암, 분열병 등의 연구에 응용되고 있다.
