Michina
Michinah is the capital city of Myanmar, Kachin. It is 1479km from Yangon and 784km from Mandalay. Michinar is Burmese, meaning 'around the big river'. In fact, it is located in the west side of the Wadi River and is about 40km below the confluence of the two tributaries of the Irrawaddy River, the Mali River and the Nemei River. It is the end of Myanmar's northernmost port and the end of the railway. During World War II, there was a siege of Chinese nationalists and Japanese troops, and was occupied by coalition forces in August 1944. The city was strategically important because it was not only linked to other parts of Myanmar, railroads and waterways, but also a planning route for Lido. There is a state government as the capital and more populations than other cities in the state. The city has a population of about 150,000 and is home to Khakin, Shan, Burmese, and a few Chinese and Indians. Although it is the most widely spoken language, Burmese is a national language that everyone can use. The main religions are Shang Buddhism and Baptist, and other religions include animism, Hinduism, and Islam.
