Cyworld
Cyworld is a social network service of Korea. Sometimes it is often called "cy," which means cyber, but it also means "cyberspace," or "relationship." In addition, as a personal virtual space such as Facebook, MySpace and Bebo in the United States, the 'mini homepage' included in the cyworld service has already become an influential name. On October 19, 2007, CNN, an American news broadcast network that has been wired around the world, has introduced Cyworld as one of Korea's leading IT cultures. On September 1, 1999, Cyworld corporation was established and merged with SK Telecom Co., Ltd. on August 2, 2003 and closed down. After the merger, the cyworld website was maintained and operated by SK Communications. On September 30, 2009, we integrated Nate and Main. In 2010, we continued to maintain the number of users, and in September 2012 we launched Cyworld Mobile App 3.0 to focus on mobile.
