Mojave Desert
The Mojave Desert is a highland desert that spans the states of Nevada, Utah and Arizona in the southeastern United States. Las Vegas is in the middle of the desert. The name of the desert is derived from the indigenous people of the Mohabi, about 57,000 square kilometers. The vegetation of the Mojave Desert is predominantly succulent, such as yucca. The main terrains in the desert are the Tejakah Mountains, the San Gabriel Mountains and the San Bernardino Mountains.
