Cell respiration
Cell respiration is one of the processes of metabolism, which is the process by which living organisms decompose organic compounds and gain energy. Life uses energy from cell respiration for life activities. Cell respiration can be divided into organic respiration in which oxygen is consumed and inorganic respiration in which oxygen is not used. Since fermentation does not use oxygen, fermentation is classified as a kind of inorganic respiration.
