It is a perennial plant distributed in Korea, Japan, China and Siberia. The height is about 40-80㎝. The leaves turn 4-8 times and have no petiole. The leaf shape is elliptic with a pointed tip, with serrations on the edge. The flower is reddish purple, and it blooms from underneath it in July-August with the inflorescence. The fruit is oval in shape with a pointed end, and rips when it is ripe. It can be used as an ornamental plant or as a mushroom plant. I eat young seeds as herbs, and I use them as a medicine in arthritis, cystitis, constipation, paralysis.
