camphor tree
Camphor tree is called camphor tree. As an evergreen tree, the leaves are egg-shaped, oval, and have a glaze and aroma. Flowers are bisexual, but in May, yellowish-white flowers bloom on the axilla of the leaves. There are six perianth sculptures, which fall behind flowers. It grows in the forest near Chebuk Samcheol, and it is distributed in Japan, China and Taiwan. It is 20m in height and 2m in diameter. Leaves are alternate phyllotaxis, 6-10cm long, 3-6cm wide, long elliptical shape. It has long petiole, no sawtooth on the edge, soft and gentle. Flowers are small, positive and bloom in May, from white to yellow. The fruit is small, round, with a diameter of 8mm, and ripens in black purple in October. This tree likes deep, fertile soil and grows well in the shade, but is vulnerable to pollution and cold, making it difficult to grow economically inland. This tree is valuable because it can obtain camphor, a valuable fragrance.
