Numidia
Numidia was a kingdom that existed in North Africa from about the third century BC. Later it became a province of Rome and generally coincides with the present Algerian. At the time of Rome, it refers to the province of Mauritania to the west, the province of Africa to the east, the Mediterranean to the north, and the boundary to the Sahara desert to the south. From the 6th century BC, it was dominated by Carthage, which ruled the area, and most of it was semi-nomadic. Generally, horse breeding in this area is famous, and many horsemen were discharged. At the time of the Second Poeny War, NuMedia was divided into two kingdoms, but King Massinis joined with Rome to support the cavalry in the battle of Jamaa and helped defeat Carthage and then increased its territory. Although it was later divided into several, it continued as the kingdom of Rome, but it revolted around Rome around 46 BC and was suppressed by Julius Caesar and made it into the nova of Africa.
