Definition of 펩타이드 in the Korean dictionary
Peptides A peptide in which a carboxyl group (-COOH) of an amino acid and an amino group (-NH2) of another amino acid are dehydrated and bound, and the bond is referred to as a peptide bond. When a large number of amino acids are bound by a peptide, the oligopeptide (amino acid residues 2 to 10), the polypeptide (10 to 50), and the protein (more than 50) are also referred to by the number of amino acid residues. In the case of ordinary peptides, the number of amino acid residues is 100 or less. 펩타이드 아미노산의 카르복실기(-COOH)와 다른 아미노산의 아미노기(-NH2)가 탈수해서 결합한 것을 펩티드, 그 결합을 펩티드 결합이라고 한다. 다수의 아미노산이 펩티드 결합한 경우, 아미노산 잔기의 수에 의해서 올리그 펩티드(아미노산 잔기가 2~10), 폴리펩티드(10~50), 단백질(50이상)이라고도 한다. 보통 펩티드라고 하는 경우에 는 아미노산 잔기의 수가 100이하의 것을 가르킨다.
