Cheil Industries
Cheil Industries is a subsidiary of the Samsung Group, a company that manages Everland, a major theme park in Korea, as well as construction and fashion businesses. Originally named Samsung Everland, it was a theme park and real estate business, but after merging the Cheil Industries fashion division in 2013, it changed its name to Cheil Industries in 2014. Founded in 1963 under the name of Donghwa Realty, it was originally a company that manages real estate within the group. The role of theme parks and holding companies such as Everland is what happens when a company grows. The reason why the company occupies an important position in the Samsung Group is because it serves as a substantial holding company for the Samsung Group. In the past, the Samsung Group had a circulating investment structure leading to "Cheil Industries → Samsung Life Insurance → Samsung Electronics → Samsung Card → Cheil Industries".
