Samsung Card
Samsung Card is the predecessor of Sejong Credit Card established in March 1983. In March 1988, after Samsung Group acquired the stake, it changed its name to Samsung Credit Card. In June 1988, it started issuing 'Winners Card' and started operating on September 1st. The company was named 'Samsung Credit Card Co., Ltd.' and the first CEO was Seung Young Lee. In September 1995, the company changed its name and brand name to 'Samsung Card'. In June 2007, Samsung Card was listed on the Korea Securities Depository and listed as the only listed Korean card company. CEO Wang Chan Wang, who took office in December 2013, is leading the company. Samsung Card has introduced a number of industry-first products such as prepaid cards, gift cards, car cards, cell cards, and CMA check cards, as well as discounts for entrance to amusement parks, introduction of point systems, discounts and membership services. It is leading the Korean credit card industry by introducing various services for the first time. Since 2008, American Express cards are handling the Centurion series.
