Maxillary sinus washing is done for maxillary sinus examination and treatment purpose. There are two cleaning methods. A method of washing the inside of the maxillary sinus (natural mouth) by inserting a washing tube made for this purpose is a method of puncturing the side wall of the nasal cavity and injecting a washing solution into the nasal cavity. The saliva used for the latter's puncture is called Schmidt's Tumble. It is used for the diagnosis of maxillary sinus lesions in the nature of the discharged fluid. This cleaning method is also used for treatment because it excretes the intestine in the maxillary sinus. 상악동세척 상악동 검사와 치료 목적으로 이루어진다. 세척법에는 2가지 방법이 있다. 상악동의 자연구(自然口)에 이와같은 목적으로 만들어진 세척관을 삽입해 세척하는 방법과 하비도에서 비강의 측벽을 천자해 세척액을 주입해서 자연공으로 유출시키는 방법이다. 후자의 천자에 사용하는 침을 슈미트탐농침이라고 한다. 배출된 액의 성상에서 상악동병변의 진단에 사용한다. 이 세척법은 상악동내의 농을 배설시키므로 치료를 위해서도 사용된다.
