San Miguel de Tucuman
San Miguel de Tucuman is the capital city of Tucuman, Argentina and the largest city in northern Argentina, with a population of 527,607 at the 2001 census. The Metropolitan area has a population of 830,000, which is the fifth largest in Argentina. In 1565, the Spanish conquistador Diego de Villarroel discovered during his exploration in Peru and moved to its present location in 1685.
