Cardiac thoracic chest X-ray photograph shows the ratio of the width of the heart to the width of the thoracic cavity. Usually the center line is the length between the supine arches (r) and the length between the longest supine arches (1), and r + 1 is the transverse diameter of the heart. The cardiac thoracic ratio is divided by the maximum width L of the lower thoracic cavity, r + 1, and is expressed as X100. That is, C + R = (r + 1) / LX100. CTR of more than 50% is defined as cardiac hypertrophy and less than 50% is normal. 심흉곽비 흉곽 X-선 사진상에서 심장의 가로지름과 흉곽의 비를 심흉곽비라고 한다. 보통 중심선에 우제2궁간의 길이(r), 및 좌제4궁의 최장부간의 길이 (1)을 구하고 r+1을 심장의 가로지름으로 한다. 심장흉곽비는 r+1 을 흉곽하부의 최대폭 L로 나누고이것을 X100으로 하여 표시한다. 즉 C+R=(r+1)/LX100이다. CTR 50%이상을 심장비대로 하고 50%이하를 일단 정상으로 하고 있다.
