Sorbitol sorbitol is one of the six sugar alcohols. In the normal liver, fructose becomes fructose by the action of sorbitol · tehydorogenase. It becomes fructose-1-p from fructose, enters the system and is metabolized (metabolized). Estimation from animal studies suggests that sorbitol has a high hepatic glycogen production, is highly available in the liver, is less inhibitory in hepatic steatosis and has less effect on blood glucose, (Transfusion agent), but its effect is still questionable. 솔비톨 솔비톨은 6가(價)의 당알콜의 하나로, 정상간(正常肝)에서는 솔비톨ㆍ테히도로게나제의 작용에 의하여 과당 fructose로 된다. fructose로부터 fructose-1-p로 되어 해당계로 들어가, 대사(代謝)된다. 동물실험으로부터 추정되고 있는 것으로는 솔비톨은 간그리코겐생성이크고, 간에서의 이용이 크고, 간장해시에서도 억제되는 정도가 적고, 혈당에의 영향도 적은 것 등을 들 수 있고, 실제의 수액제제(輸液製劑)로서 사용되고 있으나, 그의 효과에 대하여는 아직 의문시되고 있다.
