Sansha Dam
Sanxia Dam is a multipurpose dam built in Yichang City, Hubei Province of the People's Republic of China, blocking the tributaries of the Chang River. The power generation of 18.2 million kilowatts is also the first generation of hydroelectric power plants in the world. There is a lot of debate about the cost, benefit, and damage related to the construction of the dam. Construction favorable people are in favor of flood control and power generation, and opposition to construction is opposed by the submergence of people who have flooded, destruction of ecosystems, submergence of cultural heritage on the coast of Chang River, and water pollution.
