Spreewald
Spreewald was located 100 km southeast of Berlin and was registered as a Biosphere Reserve in UNESCO in 1991. More than 200 small waterways are known to raise water in olden times. The waterway is 484 km2 in area. The landscape here was already made during the Ice Age. The dry dunes of the Alder forests and the pine forests are unique in this area, but sometimes the grasslands and plains sometimes also appear. In 1998, 50,000 people lived in this area. Most people were the Sorbian / Bendin of the Slavs, the descendants of the first inhabitants in the Spreewald area. To this day, they traditionally maintain culture, language, and attire. Many tourists enjoy taking a boat trip from Spreewald. But sometimes agriculture, forestry, and fishing are the most important income here. Spreewald is different in German dialect.
