Tasmanian wolf
A Tasmanian wolf is a carnivorous marsh that inhabited the Tasmanian island of Australia. It is considered as a representative example of convergent evolution in terms of a wolf with a pocket. It is also called the Tasmanian tiger because it has a pattern similar to a tiger on its back. There is no direct relationship with the placental wolf or dog, but it has considerable anatomical similarities. It is also called Tasmanian wolf or tilacin.
