Specificity This refers to how selective the reaction of a substance with its conjugate is. It is used in antigen-antibody reaction, enzyme substrate reaction, reaction of hormone and receptor. The specificity of the conjugate is low when it reacts with the conjugate in the presence of a substance similar in structure to the target substance. On the contrary, when the conjugate is very similar in structure but hardly competes with the conjugate, the specificity of the conjugate is high do. 특이성 어떤 물질과 그 결합체와의 반응이 어느 정도 선택적으로 실시되는가를 가리키며, 항원항체반응(抗原抗體反應), 효소기질반응(酵素基質反應), 호르몬과 수용체(受容體)의 반응 등에서 사용된다. 목적물질과 구조상 유사한 물질이 존재하여 결합체에 대해 경합해 반응할 때, 결합체의 특이성이 낮다고 하며, 역으로 구조상 매우 흡사하면서도 결합체에 대하여 거의 경합반응(競合反應)하지 않을때, 결합체의 특이성이 높다고 한다.
