Turkmenistan
Turkmenistan is a republic in Central Asia. Iran, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and the Caspian Sea. It is the Islamic Republic at the southern tip of Central Asia. He declared sovereignty in August 1990 and joined the Union of Independent States in March 1992. It is the only Soviet independent state that maintains a controlled economic system. Most of the country is undervalued and about 90% of the entire area is the Karakum desert. Climate is extremely dry on a continent, and hot summer continues in summer. The ethnic composition constitutes the majority with Turkmen 85%. It was the third largest oil producer in the Soviet Union. Natural resources include oil, natural gas, and sulfur. The eastern part of the country, the Caracomb canal, which encircles the South, is the longest running irrigation canal in the world, leading to the Caspian Sea, to the west of Ashgabat.
