Wedge Hill
Wedgehill refers to a shoe with an outsole and a heel. It was very popular in the late 1940s, and the shape and materials of the heel have recently diversified. The cross section of the heel is usually in line with the shape of the sole, but there is also a heel that is narrower than the shape of the sole, connecting the sole with the heel, but the heel may not reach the floor. The material ranges from ordinary rubber heel to wood heel, sponge heel and plastic heel. It is called shoes which are mainly connected with outsole and heel. Recently, however, it has been widely used as a wedge slipper, wedgehole sandal, wedgehair sneaker, slipper, sandal, and sneaker. Because the sole is connected to the heel, the load is dispersed to the foot, so that the load is much more comfortable than the normal heel, which strikes the front part of the foot.
