Analgesics
Analgesics is a term used to represent a drug group used as a painkiller. Analgesic drugs include nonsterodial anti-inflammatory drugs such as salicylates, narcotics drugs such as morphine and drug-like synthesis drugs such as tramadol. NSAIDs such as aspirin, naproxen, and ibuprofen not only relieve pain, but also can reduce fever and heat. Narcotic analgesics such as opioid and opidium can suppress the major nervous system and change the perception of pain. This type of drug is more effective in alleviating pain than NSAIDs. Analgesics are often used in combination simultaneously, for example with paracetamol and codaina found in painkillers. The combination of these drugs is also found in conjunctive drugs like pseudoephedrine for sinus medicines, or antihistamine drugs for allergies.
