The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation is an economic forum of a group of countries bordering the Pacific Ocean. Among the issues discussed are regional economics, cooperation, trade and investment. These countries represent 60 percent of the world's total economy. The APEC Secretariat is based in Singapore. APEC holds a summit every year attended by heads of government of each member country. The conference location rotates between expert countries. APEC = Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation is a forum for 21 Pacific Rim countries aimed at promoting free trade and economic co-operation across the Asia-Pacific region. It was established in 1989 in response to the growing dependence of the Asia Pacific economy and the emergence of regional trade bloc in other parts of the world, for concern that very Japanese industrialization will come to dominate economic activity in the Asia-Pacific region;

Kerjasama Ekonomi Asia-Pasifik merupakan satu forum ekonomi sekumpulan negara yang bersempadan dengan Lautan Pasifik. Antara isu yang dibincangkan ialah ekonomi serantau, kerjasama, perdagangan dan pelaburan. Negara-negara ini mewakili 60 peratus eknomi seluruh dunia. Sekretariat APEC berpusat di Singapura. APEC mengadakan persidangan kemuncak setiap tahun yang dihadiri oleh ketua kerajaan setiap negara ahli. Lokasi persidangan bergilir-gilir antara negara-negara ahli. APEC = Kerjasama Ekonomi Asia Pasifik merupakan satu forum untuk 21 buah negara Rim Pasifik yang bertujuan untuk menggalakkan perdagangan bebas dan kerjasama ekonomi di seluruh rantau Asia Pasifik.
