Kiwi is any bird species that can not fly from the genus Apteryx. With its size around the size of the chicken, the kiwi is the smallest surviving ratite. All kiwi bird species belong to endangered species. Kiwi bird is an endemic bird in New Zealand and is a symbol of the country. Kiwi ialah mana-mana spesies burung tidak boleh terbang daripada genus Apteryx. Dengan saiznya sekitar saiz ayam, kiwi ialah ratit terkecil yang masih hidup. Semua spesies burung kiwi tergolong dalam spesies terancam. Burung kiwi ialah burung endemik di New Zealand dan merupakan simbol negara tersebut.
