Cholesterol
Cholesterol is a fatty substance that is part of the outer membrane of the cell in the animal body. It is also found in human blood circulation. The two main sources of cholesterol in the blood are derived from nutrition and liver production. Nutrition cholesterol comes from meat, chicken, fish and dairy products. After eating, cholesterol is absorbed by the intestine into the blood circulation and enclosed by the protein. Cholesterol-coated protein is called chylomicron. The liver is able to remove cholesterol from blood circulation and also produce cholesterol and secretion of cholesterol into the blood circulation. After eating, the liver produces chylomicron from the blood circulation. Between meals, the liver produces and secrete cholesterol back into the blood circulation. Cholesterol should not be dissolved in blood unless it is joined to a special protein called lipoprotein. Cholesterol secreted by the liver into the blood can combine with very low density lipoproteins or high density lipoproteins.
