Robot
Robot is a mechanical or virtual device that can perform physical tasks or software, whether using human-monitoring and control, or using a program that has been defined as an artificial intelligence. The word robot can refer to both, but the virtual robot is usually referred to as an internet bot. The first robot word was used by Isaac Asimov in his fictional science short story "runaround".
