Meaning of "vodka" in the Malay dictionary

DICTIONARY

PRONUNCIATION OF VODKA IN MALAY

vodka

WHAT DOES VODKA MEAN IN MALAY?

Vodka

Vodka is a kind of distilled beverage. It's clear liquid containing mostly water and ethanol purified by distillation-often a double distillation-from one fermented material, such as cereals, potatoes or molars of sugar beets. An insignificant quantity of other ingredients such as unintentional flavors or impurities are also usually added. Vodka usually has 35% to 50% alcohol content by volume. The classic vodka of Russia, Lithuania and Poland is 40%. This could be attributed to Russian standards for vodka production introduced in 1894 by Alexander III. According to the Vodka Museum in Moscow, Russian chemist Dmitri Mendeleev found that the perfect percentage was 38%. However, since the spirits of their time have been taxed on their strength, the percentage gathers up to 40 to facilitate tax computation.
