Acidophilous Plants, Acidophytes, Acidophilous Plants - Plants that are optimal for their development are on acidic substrate, whose pH is well below 7. They are a group of acidophilous species. Acidic plants include, for example, blueberries, cranberries, sedges. In our flora, acidophytes are mainly associated with acidic peat bogs, poor, acidic forest habitats, heaths, and poor soils. Acidic plants are distinguished by moderately acidophilous plants and plants that are highly acidic. Acidic acid is best developed in soil pH 3-5, moderately acidic at pH 6-7.

Rośliny kwasolubne, acydofity, rośliny acydofilne – rośliny, które optymalne warunki do swojego rozwoju znajdują na podłożu kwaśnym, którego pH jest znacznie poniżej 7. Stanowią grupę acydofitów. Do roślin kwasolubnych należą np. borówki, żurawiny, turzyce. W naszej florze acydofity związane są głównie z kwaśnymi torfowiskami, ubogimi, kwaśnymi siedliskami leśnymi, wrzosowiskami oraz ubogimi glebami. Wśród roślin kwasolubnych wyróżnia się rośliny umiarkowanie kwasolubne i rośliny wybitnie kwasolubne. Wybitnie kwasolubne najlepiej rozwijają się w glebie o pH 3-5, umiarkowanie kwasolubne przy pH 6-7.
