Storks, storks, wading birds of the order of pelican. It includes cosmopolitan species, water-marshes, mostly migratory. They are around the world. These are generally large birds, with long, flexible neck and legs adapted for wading. The fingers are also long, but also flexible, adapted to wading in shallow water in marshy and overgrown areas. It is characteristic that, despite their long legs, the wading birds do not run, but carefully step up. They can fly and glide well. Most glands are well developed, although some feathers also produce a powder to keep the feathers clean and dry. They have a light skeleton with very well developed air chambers in the bones. Some species nest in colonies, chicks are nesting - after hatching they see right away. Parents feed the chicks by throwing the caught food at the edge of the nest or straight into the beak.
