Colcannon

Colcannon - Irish food, a kind of potato puree with added shredded kale or cabbage. In Ireland the colcannon is traditionally eaten in Halloween. Colcannon is prepared by mixing the mashed, previously boiled potatoes and chopped, boiled or strangled kale. Milk, butter and spices are added to this mass, then it can be baked. Some provisions also include the addition of braised onion.
