Curia

Curia or kuria - in ancient Rome the oldest unit of division of citizens based on the family relation. The curia consisted of 10 families, initially only patrician, and later also plebeian. Representatives of the curia gathered on the comical kuria. Curia was also a military and tax entity. Curia lub kuria – w starożytnym Rzymie najstarsza jednostka podziału obywateli oparta na związkach rodowych. W skład kurii wchodziło 10 rodów, początkowo tylko patrycjuszowskich, a później również plebejskich. Przedstawiciele kurii gromadzili się na komicjach kurialnych. Curia stanowiła również jednostkę wojskową i podatkową.
