Georg Philipp Telemann

Georg Philipp Telemann - German composer of the Baroque period. In 1685 his father died. He became interested in music at the age of 10, at the age of 12 he wrote the first opera. But his talent was not accepted by the family who wanted to win more lucrative jobs. His mother confiscated all his instruments and in 1693 sent to school in Zellerfeld, where he studied until 1698. But the superintendent of this school accepted the musical talent of his pupil, and Telemann continued to compose music and on his own expanded his musical skills. At the time he continued his education at the Gymnasium Andreanum in Hildesheim, he was already a multi-instrumentalist, who almost learned the simple flute and flute, shawl, oboe, trombone, organ and harpsichord, violin, viola da gamba and double bass. Since 1701 he studied law at the Leipzig University. In that city he also worked as an organist. After studying, he stayed in various cities in Germany and in Lusatia, where he had the opportunity to learn about folk music. In 1702 he became the musical director of the opera house in Leipzig. W 1702 r. został dyrektorem muzycznym opery w Lipsku. W 1704 r.
