Revolutionary Movement im. Tupac Amaru (Moviegoic Revolucionario Tupac Amaru (MRTA)) - Marxist revolutionary organization, active in Peru from the 80s to 1997, one of the main participants in the Peruvian Civil War. Armed operations began in 1984. The group was inspired by other leftist guerrillas operating in the region. It was commanded by Víctor Polay Campos (Commander Rolando) until his imprisonment in 1992, then commanded by Nestor Cerpa Cartolini (commander of "Evaristo") who was killed in 1997. Since 1986, she has been in war with the Peruvian government. Her first loud attack was the bloodless occupation of the seven radio stations in Lima in February 1987 and the reading of the manifesto. MRTA has adopted its name in honor of the Peruvian national hero, Tupac Amaru II, the 18th century leader of the rebellion against the Spanish colonial rule, adopted his title after his predecessor, Tupac Amaru, the last native Inca native. The MRTA was considered a terrorist organization by the Peruvian Government, the US State Department and the European Parliament. Ruch Rewolucyjny im. Tupaca Amaru (hiszp. Movimiento Revolucionario Tupac Amaru (MRTA)) – marksistowska organizacja rewolucyjna, aktywna w Peru od lat 80. do 1997 roku, jeden z głównych uczestników wojny domowej w Peru. Działalność zbrojną rozpoczęła w 1984 roku. Ugrupowanie inspirowane były innymi lewicowymi partyzantkami działającymi w krajach regionu. Dowodzona była przez Víctora Polaya Campos (komendant "Rolando") do czasu jego uwięzienia w 1992 roku, następnie dowództwo objął Nestor Cerpa Cartolini (komendant "Evaristo") który zginął w 1997 roku. Od 1986 roku prowadziła wojnę z peruwiańskim rządem. Jej pierwszym głośnym atakiem było bezkrwawe zajęcie w lutym 1987 roku siedmiu stacji radiowych w Limie i odczytanie manifestu. MRTA przyjęła swoją nazwę na cześć bohatera narodowego Peru, Indianina, Tupaca Amaru II, XVIII wiecznego przywódcę rebelii przeciw kolonialnym rządom Hiszpanii, przyjął swój tytuł po swoim przodku Tupacu Amaru, ostatnim rodzimym liderem Inków. MRTA była uważana za organizację terrorystyczną przez rząd Peru, Departament Stanu USA i Parlament Europejski.
