Asplenia

Asplenia refers to the nonfunctioning of the spleen and is associated with serious infection risks. Thus, it is more serious than hyposplenism which refers to a reduced / unsatisfactory functioning of the spleen. Asplenia se refere ao não funcionamento do baço e está associada com riscos de infecção graves.
